How do I order items to a Reading Room?

Due to the current technology outage caused by last year's cyberattack, to order an item you'll need to place a manual order in one of our Reading Rooms by completing a paper order form. To identify the items you need, you can use our online catalogue to search for the item you require.

Once you are in the Reading Room, please collect a paper order form from Reading Room staff, fill in the required details, and in the shelfmark box enter the relevant reference and hand it to the Issue Desk staff. Orders for same-day delivery close at 16.00. You can order up to six collection items per day.

Also, please note that we can’t guarantee that items marked ‘Should be available’ are available to order; they may be in use by another Reader or restricted for other reasons.
